NLMK Belgium Holdings consolidates NLMK DanSteel

MOSCOW, Oct 27 (PRIME) -- NLMK Belgium Holdings (NBH), a joint venture between Russia's Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) and Belguim's Sogepa, has closed a deal to consolidate NLMK DanSteel, a plant of NLMK in Denmark, the European division of NLMK said in a statement on Thursday.

The E.U. approved the merger on October 11, the company said.

NLMK started restructuring its European assets in 2008. Sogepa became a partner the company in 2013, buying 20.5% in NLMK Belgium Holding. Sogepa has management rights in the holding and its affiliate facilities. In March 2015, the company raised the stake to 49%.
